GAME 17
Eastern Illinois women's basketball closes this week's play with a 1 pm tip-off vs. Austin Peay on Saturday Jan. 19. The Panthers beat Murray State 75-67 Thursday night improving to 2-3 in OVC play, while the Governors lost to SIUE and fell to 2-3 in OVC play. The Panthers look to go 2-0 on the week to improve to .500 in the conference before heading on another two game road swing.

PACE EXTENDS SCORING STREAK
Karle Pace extended her double-figure scoring streak to 13 consecutive games. She poured in a game-high 23 points in EIU's win over Murray State earlier this week. She also recorded three rebounds, two assists, and four steals.

TAKING CARE OF THE BALL
EIU is tied third in OVC only play with a +4.60 turnover margin. The Panthers force their conference opponents to turn the ball over on average 16.8 times per game while they only commit 13.8 turnovers per game. EIU nearly tied the fewest turnovers committed in a single game with six at TTU. The record is five set back in the 2004-05 season. 

UP NEXT
The Panthers hit the road for another two game swing next week. EIU looks to sweep the season series at UT Martin on Thursday Jan. 24 at 5:30 pm. The Panthers will then see Southeast Missouri for the first time this season on Saturday Jan. 26 at 2 pm.
