Swimmers Complete Summit League Championships

EIU Swimming combined for 20 top-16 finishes in the final day of the Summit League Championships

The Eastern Illinois men's and women's swimming teams ended their 2018-19 season strong earning a combined 20 top-16 finishes in individual events to close the Summit League Championships.
 
Greg Hample touched the wall sixth in the 100 IM A-Finals at 53.01, while Logan Long took second (10th overall) in the B-Finals at 57.62.
 
Chris Dixon touched the wall 11th in the 1650 Free at 16:38.73.
 
Scott House took seventh in the A-Finals for the 100-Free at 45.14, while Griffin Lewis took eighth at 45.73. Forrest Baumgartner took third (11th overall) in the B-Finals at 46.66, while Nick Harkins took eighth (16th overall) at 47.04.
 
Race Archibald touched the wall sixth (13th overall) in the 200 Breast B-Finals at 2:12.46.
 
Alex Adams took seventh in the 200 Back A-Finals 1:52.17, while Andrew Crouse took second (10th overall) at 1:54.18, Ethan Dolan took third (11th overall) at 1:55.41, and Joel Talley took seventh (15th overall) at 1:59.48.
 
Ivan Escott took fourth (12th overall) in the 200 Fly B-Finals at 1:57.15, while Alex Laleian took sixth (14th overall) at 1:57.58, Jake Gleeson took seventh (15th overall) at 1:58.03, and Austin Kueck took eighth at (16th overall) at 1:58.17.
 
The quartet of Lewis, Baumgartner, House, and Harkins took silver in 400 Free Relay at 3:01.91.
 
Katy Black took third (11th overall) in the 200 Back B-Finals at 2:08.70.
 
Grace Kennedy took sixth (14th overall) at 53.43 in the 100 Free B-Finals at 53.43.
 
Rachel Manderscheid touched the wall fifth (13th overall) in the 200 Breast B-Finals at 2:29.86.
 
Julia Martin earned eighth place honors (16th overall) in the 200 Fly B-Finals at 2:14.87.
 
The quartet of Kennedy, Black, Sarah Lohman, and Martee Grainger took sixth in the 400 Free Relay at 3:35.54.
