SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – A total of 35 Summit League swimming and diving student-athletes, 16 men and 19 women, have been selected to the 2019-20 Academic All-League Team as voted on by Faculty Athletic Representatives and Athletic Communications Directors from the league's member institutions.
 
Scott House and Joel Talley were selected from the EIU men's team while Rachel Manderscheid and Sarah Lohman represented the Panther women.  It was the second All-Academic selection for both House and Manderscheid while Talley and Lohman collected their first honor.  House has a GPA of 3.90 majoring in Kinesiology & Sports Studies while Manderscheid has a GPA of 3.80 majoring in Kinesiology & Sports Studies.  Talley holds a 3.90 GPA while majoring in biochemistry.  Lohman holds a 4.0 GPA majoring in Kinesiology & Sports Studies. 
 
To be eligible for the Academic All-League team, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.30 (on a 4.0 scale), completed at least one full academic year at the current institution and participated in 50 percent of their team's competitions.
 
Nominations are made by athletic communications directors from the league's seven institutions that compete in swimming and diving, and voting is conducted by both the athletic communications directors and facility athletic representatives (FARs). Each team is made up of the 15 student-athletes receiving the most votes with all ties standing.
