COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Eastern Illinois had two men's athletes complete their seasons on Friday afternoon at the NCAA West Regional while another was impacted by severe weather in the area that postponed events.
Steven Rowe and
Joe Smith both competed in field events on Friday while
Adam Swanson will be in action on Saturday after Friday night's 800 meter event was postponed due to weather.
Rowe placed 40th in the high jump as he cleared a height of 6'7".
Smith placed 44th in the triple jump as he posted a mark of 47'11.75".
Only three events were completed on Friday before weather delayed the night's running events.
EIU will now have Swanson and the women's 4x100 relay team in action on Saturday. Â
