800 Meter Results 

EUGENE, Ore. - Eastern Illinois redshirt freshman Adam Swanson wrapped up his season on Wednesday night competing in the NCAA Track & Field National Championships in Eugene, Oregon.
 
Swanson would run in the third heat of the men's 800 meter run and placed 21st in the nation with a finals time of 1:50.51.  
 
Swanson is the first EIU athlete to advance to the NCAA National Championships since 2014.
 
He wraps up a season that included being named the OVC Male Track Athlete of the Year, OVC Male Freshman of the Year and winner of the 800 meter at the Texas Relays.  His best time this season was 1:47.66 which is the second fastest in school history.
