MURRAY, Ky. -- Eastern Illinois Track & Field closes out day 2 of the Ohio Valley Conference Outdoor Track Championships in Murray, Ky. The Panthers posted another first place finish and conclude the day in second place in the men's standings with 69 points and fourth place in the women's standings with 27 points.
Highlighting day 2 for EIU was
Ramsey Hunt, who won the gold in the men's long jump with a distance of 7.62m. In the women's 100m hurdle prelims,
Akiya Kollore set both a new personal best and a new school record with a time of 13.50. Â
Elsewhere,
Bradley Olysav took fifth place in the men's hammer throw with a new personal best distance of 56.68m.Â
Taylor Iverson took sixth place in the women's hammer throw, setting a new personal best with a distance of 51.31m.Â
Franky Romano finished third in the men's steeplechase with a time of 9:30.89.
The championships will conclude with day three tomorrow. The first event is scheduled to begin at 11:00am CT.
