Adam Swanson earned his second Ohio Valley Conference Male Runner of the Week Award announced on Wednesday following his performance last weekend at the Bradley "Pink" Classic.

Swanson placed third in a competitive field of 199 runners posting a 8K time of 24:17.90 to earn his fourth top ten finish this season.  He helped lead EIU to a 12th place team finish in a field of 29 teams.

EIU returns to action on Oct. 28 at the Ohio Valley Conference Championships hosted by Morehead State.  The EIU men have won three straight OVC cross country championships.

Swanson currently holds the league's top 8K time this season when he ran a sub-24 minute time at the Louisville Cross Country Classic crossing in 23:48.9.
