Women's Results
Adam Swanson turned in a big performance finishing fifth at the Louisville Cross Country Classic as he was the Panther men's top finisher as Eastern Illinois cross country competed in its third meet of the fall.
Swanson helped lead the EIU men to a 23rd place finish while the EIU women finished 24th in a field that contained a solid number of men's and women's regionally ranked teams.
Swanson covered the 8K course in a time of 23:48.9 as one of two EIU men's runners in the Top 100.Â
Michael Atkins also finished in the Top 100 placing 95th with a time of 24:57.5.
Richie Jacobo,
Joe Stoddard and
Ethan Black rounded out the top five scored runners for the men. Jacobo was 139th with a time of 25:17.3. Stoddard was 209th with a time of 25:45.7. Black crossed in 228th with a time of 25:53.5.
Isai Morales and
Sam Cruz wrapped up the final two scored runners with Morales in 232nd and Cruz in 237th. Morales time was 25:54.9 while Cruz posted a time of 25:55.4.
On the women's side
Mackenzie Aldridge led the Panthers finishing in 67th with a 5K time of 18:04.6.
Brenda Torres and
Sarah Carr were the second and third EIU runners to cross with both finishing in the Top 150. Torres was 112th with a time of 18:29.2. Carr was 130th with a time of 18:35.9.
Kylie Haacke and
Alex Gomez were the fourth and fifth EIU scored runners with
Rylea Borgic and
Kylie Decker closing out the EIU top seven in sixth and seventh.  Haacke was 168th with a time of 18:50.1. Gomez was 193rd with a time of 19:02.3. Borgic was 195th with a time of 19:02.6. Decker was 215th with a time of 19:11.5.
