Eastern Illinois women's tennis returns to action this weekend as the Panthers will play two matches beginning Friday evening at Illinois State. EIU then wraps up the weekend hosting IUPUI on Sunday at the Danville Tennis Center.
EIU is 0-1 on the season having lost to Illinois on January 14. The Panthers line-up featured four new faces with the lone returners
Addison Brown and
Jemma Booth playing at No. 3 and No. 4 in the singles order.
Aleyla Wooten opened the season playing at No. 1 singles with
Charleigh Fay playing at No. 2. The Panthers playing order in the opener was rounded out by
Luisa Renovales Salazar at No. 5 singles and
Michelle Kostadinova at No. 6.
EIU will play at 6 p.m. on Friday night at Illinois State. The Redbirds are 1-0 following a win over Western Illinois.
EIU closes out the weekend on Sunday hosting IUPUI at 4 p.m. at the Danville Tennis Center, part of doubleheader with the EIU men's program. IUPUI is 0-1 following a loss to Western Illinois.
