SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Eastern Illinois swimmers Corinne Staneart and Dismas Dillon have been named to the Summit League Swimming & Diving Athletes to Watch List, which was announced along with the conference's preseason poll on Thursday.

Staneart was one of the Panthers' top scorers a season ago, as she posted multiple top 10 times in EIU program history. Her 200 breast time of 2:21.10 and 200 IM time of 2:07.87 were the second fastest marks all-time for an EIU women's swimmer. She currently holds school records in the 100 breast (1:04.34) and 200 breast (2:20.06), which she set as a sophomore during the 2022-23 season.

Dillon led the EIU men is scoring last season and set a new school record in the 50 free with a time of 20.28 at the Summit League Championships, which placed him first in the B final. He also posted top team times in the 100 free (45.54) and 100 fly (50.88) last season. Dillon also holds the school record in the 100 fly (50.19), which he set at the 2023 Summit League Championships.

The Summit League preseason poll was also announced on Thursday. The EIU men's team was picked to finish sixth, while the women were tabbed to finish in seventh place.

The Panthers will open up their season on Friday at IU Indy as they officially begin the Scott Teeters era. The action is set to get underway at 3 p.m. inside IU Natatorium.
