GAME 29
Eastern Illinois locked up its third straight winning record in Ohio Valley Conference play with its road win on Thursday at Tennessee State.   The Panthers improved to 13-15 overall, 10-5 in the OVC as they have three regular season games remaining.  EIU won its fourth straight game as they continue to sit in sole possession of second place in the OVC standings just one game ahead of three teams with 9-6 OVC marks.  The top eight teams in the OVC standings advance to the league tournament in Evansville.  The top two seeds receive byes to the Friday semifinal round.   Southern Indiana has already locked up the regular season title with EIU, Tennessee Tech, Little Rock and UT Martin all battling for that second spot.  Seeds three and four in the OVC standings receive first-round byes.   Tennessee Tech is one of those teams just behind the Panthers as they are 14-12 overall, 9-6 in the OVC.  The Golden Eagles have won five straight heading into Saturday.

MONAHAN WITH HER SECOND CAREER DOUBLE-DOUBLE
Earlier this season Miah Monahan collected her first career double-double passing out 10 assists to go along with 16 points at New Mexico.  On Thursday she had her second career double-double, this one coming in the more traditional points/rebounds variety as she had 11 points and a career-high 10 rebounds.  Monahan provided most of her scoring in the fourth quarter including a pair of big free throws with 2:38 remaining that ended a nearly six minute scoreless streak for EIU as Tennessee State had climbed to within five points.  Monahan is the first EIU player since Ta'Kenya Nixon in 2013 to post two different types of double-doubles in the same season.   In addition she added four assists at TSU as she needs nine to crack the EIU single season top ten.  Monahan leads the OVC with 137 total assists this year.

MCGLONE CONTINUES TO POST NUMBERS
Macy McGlone had her second straight double-double at Tennessee State giving her 22 this season which ranks second in the NCAA.  McGlone hauled in 10 rebounds in the win as she ranks third in the NCAA this season in rebounds per game.   McGlone already owns the EIU record for double-doubles in a season and is chasing both the EIU single season rebound and blocks records.  McGlone has 332 rebounds which is third on the EIU single season list (Toni Collins - 361 in 1982 - SR).  She has 52 blocked shots which is fourth on the EIU single season list (Rachel Galligan - 61 in 2006 - SR).
