Eastern Illinois Women's Tennis Week Schedule
Saturday – Feb. 22 at Eastern Michigan, 6:30 pm
Sunday – Feb. 23 at Western Michigan, 11:30 am
 
The Eastern Illinois women's tennis team returns to action this weekend as the Panthers will play a pair of matches against schools in the Mid-American Conference.
 
EIU plays at Eastern Michigan on Saturday evening followed by a Sunday match at Western Michigan.
 
The Panthers did not play last week after a busy week the prior week with three matches in three days.
 
Ornella Lomenzo and Luisa Renovales Salazar currently lead the team with three singles wins each.  Lomenzo has played at both the No. 1 and No. 2 spots in the line-up with a 3-2 record at No. 2 singles.  Salazar has one win at No. 3 singles and two at No. 5 singles. 
 
In doubles play Aleyla Wooten and Michelle Kostadinova have led the Panthers playing at the No. 1 doubles position.  The pair have three wins in that spot with two of their matches left unfinished. 
 
EIU is 2-7 on the year entering the weekend matches.
