3/7/2025 12:24:00 PM

Eastern Illinois women's tennis is scheduled to play its first true home match of the season this Sunday as the Panthers host Minnesota State at 1:30 p.m. at the Rex Darling Courts in Charleston.

The Panthers have three players tied for the team lead with three singles wins each.  Aleyla Wooten joined the list last week with a win at No. 1 singles at Illinois State.

Ornella Lomenzo and Luisa Renovales Salazar are also tied for the team lead with three singles wins.

In doubles play the No. 1 doubles team of Aleyla Wooten and Michelle Kostadinova have posted four wins with their last against Northern Kentucky last week.

If weather is determined to be a factor for playing conditions, a decision will be made late Saturday if the match will be moved to Terre Haute to be played at the Terre Haute Tennis & Pickleball Center.
