Eastern Illinois track and field returns to action this week as the Panthers will take a select group of athletes to the Drake Relays.  The Panthers return to the Drake Relays this year after not competing in the event during the 2025 season.
 
Currently EIU has three athletes ranked in the Top 75 in the NCAA West Region in events heading into the weekend competition.  Machi Nelson is currently 42nd in the men's long jump.  Shawn Lacy ranks 52nd in the men's javelin.  Abby Venhaus ranks 62nd in the women's long jump.
 
The following athletes are scheduled to compete over the three day event in Des Moines, Iowa.
