Eastern Illinois junior Nathan Kirby has been named the Ohio Valley Conference Male Track Athlete of the Week following his performance at the Illinois Gary Wieneke Memorial last weekend.
 
Kirby won the 110m hurdle event with a time of 14.12.  The time was an improvement on Kirby's previous career best and landed him in tenth place on the EIU career top ten list.
 
He currently holds the third fastest 110m hurdle time in the OVC this season.
 
EIU will compete in its final regular season meet of the season on Friday when the Panthers travel to the Sycamore Open hosted by Indiana State.
