** During the month of July EIUpanthers.com will take a look back at 13 moments, events or performances that helped shape the 2014-15 school year. **

EIU women's track returned to the top of the OVC Women's Track podium during the indoor season and nearly picked up a track championship sweep during the outdoor season.   The women's squad won its sixth OVC Indoor Championship and first since 2012.

The Panthers won the indoor title by 31.5 points.   EIU was led by Bryn Buckwalter (shot put), Haleigh Knapp (high jump) and Sadie Lovett (pole vault) as each picked up a first place finish.  Second place finishes were turned in by Angelica Anyaogu (60m dash and long jump), Dhiaa Dean (400m), Jackie Jones (high jump), Annemarie Reid (pole vault) and Jordan Wallace (3000m).

During the outdoor season EIU would place second in the women's outdoor OVC Championship falling short by 1.5 points.  Kristen Paris would be the lone EIU woman to advance to the NCAA Midwest Regional competing in the 800m.

Tom Akers would be named the OVC Coach of the Year for women's indoor track winning an OVC Coach of the Year honor for the 40th time in his career.  During the indoor season Akers was honored at a celebration for 20-years as the Panthers head track coach.
