COACH GRAZIANO NOTES FROM ISU GAME...
"
Lauren Doyle had a big day leading the way with four trys, three assists, five runs over 20-yards, and two steals... she was also second on the day in tackles with six, plus went 5-for-8 in two-point conversions... overall, she scored 30 of our 50 points... Lauren was able to set our attacking pattern with her probing runs in the middle of the Cyclone defense... the ISU defense was quite organized, but Lauren's abilities and speed found small gaps creating scoring opportunities for herself and her teammates.
Alissa Patient had a few excellent runs on set plays and we hope to involve her more in our offensive attack as she continues to develop her running techniques.
Nia Williams had a good day on the wing... we moved her to that position for this game and she performed well both offensively and defensively... her talents in the open field will become an asset as she continues to learn how to play the game to her full potential.
We had a few break downs defensively and missed a few tackles which kept the game close for the first 50 minutes... so our midfield defense will need to improve this aspect of our game if we are to be successful in our third Quinnipiac game this coming weekend."
