LEMONT, Ill. -- Junior Oscar Borda led all Eastern Illinois men's golfers with a Top 20 finish at the recent two-day John Dallio Memorial, which was hosted by DePaul at the Par 72, 6,898-yard Ruffled Feathers Golf Course.
As a team, the Panthers would earn an eighth place finish out of the 12 competing squads.
Borda fired a three-round 229 (74-74-81) total to end up 13-over-par and tie for 14th out of 69 golfers.
Sophomore Marcus Dahlin tied for 21st with a 232 total, followed by classmate Ryan Hughes in a 39th place tie and a 239 tally.
Senior James Jansen and sophomore Daniel Hughes rounded out the EIU contingent in 41st and 55th place ties, respectively.
IUPUI earned the team title with a 40-over 904 tally, while Columbia's Brandon Jowers earned the individual trophy off an impressive eight-under-par 208 scorecard.
The Panthers tallied a 937 total to finish ahead of Midwest rivals IPFW, Western Illinois and Loyola (Chicago).
Eastern will finish up the fall portion of the 2014-15 slate at the upcoming Austin Peay Fall Invite on Oct. 19-21 at the The Links of Novadell in Hopkinsville, Ky.
