BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Eastern Illinois men's tennis team suffered its third and fourth loss of the season in Saturday's doubleheader, falling at Indiana 7-0 and UIC 5-2.

After their first meeting ever in program history between the Hoosiers and EIU on the tennis court, the Hoosiers now hold a 1-0 series record over EIU. 

EIU faced UIC in the second match of the doubleheader, where the Panthers tallied their most single match wins of the season at 2.

In the No. 1 position, Freddie O'Brien defeated Carl Hedstrom in a third set 6-2, 6-7, 10-7. Marko Stefan Janjusic, in the No. 5 position had a dominating performance against William Wale, winning the match 6-3, 6-3.

In the No. 3 position Jared Woodson was also able to push his opponent Marcelo Dib to a third set. However, Woodson would eventually lose 6-2, 4-6, 10-6.  The Panthers loss against UIC gives the Flames an 7-3 series record over EIU. 

Now 0-4 on the season, the Panthers will have almost a week off before trying to gain their first win of the season in Champaign, Ill. Friday taking on Saint Francis at 11 a.m.
