Marko Stefan Janjusic improved to .500 so far this season with a 6-0, 6-1 victory over his Saint Joseph's College counterpart.

With the 6-1 win over Saint Joseph's College (Ind.), the Panthers were able to remain undefeated at home and win their second match of the year to improve to 2-8 this season.
This week the Panthers look to continue their win streak with three matches scheduled for the weekend. EIU will face Wisconsin Friday (Mar. 3) in Madison, Wis. followed by a doubleheader Saturday (Mar. 4) in Chicago, Ill. against Detroit at 9 a.m. and Chicago State later at 4 p.m.
Losing to Cornell 3-4 Sunday, and now 6-2 on the season, Wisconsin may be the Panthers toughest match of the week. This will mark the first meeting in program history between the two teams.
The match against Detroit, who are currently 3-6 on the season, will mark another first meeting in program history as well with the Panthers.
Chicago State, however, is a familiar opponent for EIU. Dating back to 2001, the Panthers look to extend a seven match win streak over Chicago State holding a 10-1 series record. The Cougars are currently 4-8 on the season.
Following the matches this week, the Panthers will travel to Dayton, Ohio where they will play two matches facing Dayton Friday (Mar. 10) at 5 p.m. and Wright State Saturday (Mar. 11) at 1:30 p.m.
