CHICAGO, Ill. - The Eastern Illinois men's tennis team ended Saturday's doubleheader 0-2, losing to Detroit 7-0 and Chicago State 4-3. 

The loss against Detroit is the Panthers first loss ever against the team while losing to Chicago State ends a seven game win streak EIU held since 2001. 

The highlights of the day came in the second match. Pushing his opponent to a third set, in the No. 3 position Marko Stefan Janjusic recorded the Panthers first win of the day 5-7, 7-6, 1-0 (6).

Following Janjusic's win, Jared Woodson would force his opponent to a third set as well winning 2-6, 7-5, 1-0 (6). In the No. 6 position Ferdinand Ammer earned the final singles win of the match defeating his opponent 6-3, 6-1.

Now 2-11 on the season, the Panthers will travel to Dayton, Ohio where they will play two matches facing Dayton Friday (Mar. 10) at 5 p.m. and Wright State Saturday (Mar. 11) at 1:30 p.m.
