COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Eastern Illinois men's track & field had four athletes in action on Wednesday as they opened competition at the NCAA West Regional hosted by Texas A&M.
Adam Swanson,
Nick Phillips,
Riley Baker and
Dustin Hatfield were all in action for the Panthers.Â
Swanson placed 12th in the opening round of the 800 meter run as the redshirt freshman advanced to Friday's quarterfinal round. He was second in his heat with a time of 1:48.95.
Phillips wrapped up his EIU career on Wednesday placing 31st in the hammer throw. Phillips had a mark of 196'2".
Baker closed out his season in the 400 meter hurdles as he placed 46th with a time of 53.60.
Hatfield was the Panthers final competitor in action on Wednesday as he placed 45th in the 10,000 meter run with a time of 31:37.32.
Action continues for EIU on Thursday with Makenna Wilson competing in the women's hammer throw. EIU will then have competitors in action on Friday (men) and Saturday (women).
