Eastern Illinois volleyball opened the year with ten straight wins and ended the season making the Panthers second appearance in the NCAA Tournament.

EIU opened the season 10-0 winning three straight in-season tournament titles and a home match over SEC member Missouri as they jumped out to the hot start.

EIU would go on to post a 28-5 overall record including a 15-3 record in the OVC. EIU hosted and won the OVC Tournament winning all three matches in a 3-0 fashion.

Giovana Larregui López was named the OVC Player of the Year with Catalina Rochaix named the Setter of the Year. Additional first team All-OVC selections were Natalie Mitchem and Christina Martinez Mundo.

Martinez Mundo was named the OVC Tournament MVP with Larregui López and Rochaix also named to the All-Tournament team.

EIU made its second ever NCAA Tournament appearance, and first since the 2001 season, as they faced Marquette in the opening round losing 3-0.

Head coach Sara Thomas was named the OVC Coach of the Year and Larregui López earned honorable mention All-American honors.
