Eastern Illinois cross country had a pair of runners earn Ohio Valley Conference Runner of the Week honors following the Panthers performance last weekend at the Indiana State John McNichols Invite.

Joe Stoddard was named the Male Runner of the Week while
Brenda Torres claimed the Female Runner of the Week honor.

Stoddard placed 24th the competitive field posting an 8K time of 24:56.7 as he led EIU to a second place among NCAA Division I schools in the field.

Torres crossed in 30th place running a 6K time of 22:05.6 as the Panthers placed fifth as a team among NCAA Division I schools competing in the race.

EIU returns to action on Saturday, October 5 at the Louisville Cross Country Classic.
