PEORIA – Eastern Illinois women's tennis won their second straight weekend road match, as the Panthers downed Bradley, 5-2, on Sunday afternoon to improve to 4-2 on the spring season.
The Panthers started the match by winning the all-important doubles point as the duos of

Merritt Whitley and
Ali Foster/
Kristen Laird won at No. 1 and No. 3 via respective scores of 8-4 and 8-6.
Sephora Boulbahaiem picked up the first EIU win in singles at the No. 2 spot by blanking her Bradley opponent, followed by another straight-set victory by Whitley at No. 3.
Newcomer Foster continued the Panther momentum with her win at No. 4 singles, before the host squad would get on the scoreboard with a victory at the No. 5 spot in the lineup.
But yet one more straight set win at No. 6 by
Jennifer Kim would secure the Eastern win as the Panthers swept the weekend competition following yesterday's 9-0 rout at Indianapolis.
The EIU women will next return to the courts on Fri., March 8, traveling to Indianapolis to face I-70 rival IUPUI at 6 p.m.
