MUSCLE SHOALS, Ala. -- Eastern Illinois men's golf completed the 2014-16 season on Sunday (April 26), as the Panthers ended three-day action at the Ohio Valley Conference Championship meet.  Marcus Dahlin ended up leading all Panthers at the Par 72, 7,258-yard Fightin Joe course at The Shoals in Alabama.

The sophomore tied for 31st place, out of 55 total competitors, as he shot a three-round 225 total after his final four-over-par 76 this afternoon.

Seniors Brady Welsh and Oscar Borda followed in respective ties for 42nd (229) and 48th (233) places, while sophomore Daniel Hughes (52nd/236) and senior James Jansen (T53rd/238) rounded out the Panther contingent.

As a team, the Panthers registered a combined 921 to finish 11 strokes behind 10th place Tennessee State, while Eastern Kentucky held on for team trophy honors via a three-day 868 tally.  

UTM's Brendon Caballero nabbed individual medalist kudos following his five-under-par 211 score.

The Panthers lose three seniors -- Borda, Jansen and Welsh -- while returning eight players for the next 2015-16 campaign.
