Eastern Illinois wrapped up a successful year all around as the Panthers won both the Ohio Valley Conference Commissioner's Cup and the OVC Sportsmanship Trophy.  It marked the first time in OVC history that the same school has won both awards in the same academic year. 
 
The Commissioner's Cup was the fourth won by the Panthers Athletic Department and represents the best overall finish for athletic teams in OVC sponsored championship sports.
 
The Sportsmanship Trophy was won by EIU for the first time.  The award goes to the Conference institution selected by its peers to have best exhibited the standards of sportsmanship and ethical conduct as outlined by the OVC and NCAA.
